Rococo Chocolates

Discover expertly crafted luxury British chocolates, decadent flavours and classic style.

With a rich British heritage and forty years of expertise, at Rococo Chocolates we bring tastes and experiences to our customers for the first time, and believe in setting trends, not following them. We use only the finest ingredients and the care and attention to detail that we put into every single one of our chocolates is evident from their exquisite taste.

We run a whole host of exciting events with our chocolate experts, from truffle rolling and chocolate bar-making workshops in the chocolate kitchen at our Marylebone shop, to private corporate experiences and even port and chocolate pairings.

At the King’s Road and Moxon Street, our little emporiums ooze charm and character, burst with expertise and of course, are packed to the rafters with delicious chocolate.

THE ROCOCO CHOCOLATES STORY

Rococo Chocolates was founded in 1983 by Chantal Coady OBE, who wanted to change the way fine chocolate was perceived. Following on from a Saturday job in Harrods selling confectionary, Chantal knew she wanted to create her own emporium of luxury chocolate, one that was an inspiring engagement of the senses that real chocolate deserves. So, armed with a little knowledge, a dangerous passion and the belief that there was room for a radically different approach to chocolate, Chantal opened the doors of the first Rococo Chocolates shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea.

With friends from art school she painted cherubs and clouds on the ceiling after Botticelli’s ‘The Birth of Venus’, a chandelier was made from sugar and gilded mirrors and candelabra were mounted on the walls. The imagination and sense of fun intoxicated chocolate lovers who came on pilgrimages from miles away.

ROCOCO BRAND PHILOSOPHY

At Rococo Chocolates we pride ourselves on our five core brand pillars, which define us and set us apart from the crowd.

Everything that we produce tastes exceptional. This is owed to considered craftsmanship at the hands of our chocolatiers, minimal processing and the quality of ingredients used.

We are committed to showcasing the best of British creativity and craft, from our iconic visual design to the daring imagination and style that our chocolatiers put into every product.

Our chocolates are expertly crafted by our chocolatiers who will not compromise on quality. We care about provenance and use only the best and most ethically sourced ingredients.

We want to bring tastes and experiences to our customers for the first time, and believe in creating trends not following them. Someone had to start the salted chocolate trend.

We are an unforgettable experience, whether it’s the emotions evoked through our products or the service provided in our shops. We bring back old memories and create new traditions.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

We are proud to have been recognised by the Academy of Chocolate, International Chocolate Awards and Great Taste for our chocolates. From our Couture collection hand made in London, to our iconic packaging, we are delighted that others love our products just as much as we do.

The Academy of Chocolate made an award to Rococo Chocolates for ‘Changing the way People Think About Chocolate’ and the Wall Street Journal among others have recognised Chantal as the founder of the ‘New British School’ of chocolate. In 2014, our founder Chantal was awarded an O.B.E. in the Queen’s Birthday Honours ‘For Services to Chocolate’, recognising her long and ground-breaking career.
